Package: xserver-xorg-input-mouse Version: 1:1.0.4-2 Severity: important Tags: patch Justification: makes mouse scroll wheels almost completely useless When using my mouse in Firefox, among other applications, scrolling up or down very quickly generates left and right events instead of the proper ones. Since I quite often hold down keys for a bit too long, this results in moving forward and backward in Firefox, instead of scrolling in the desired direction. Alan Coopersmith, who works on X for Sun Microsystems posted in his blog about this[0]. There is also an *upstream* patch[1]! I would greatly appreciate if this could be fixed fairly soon. Thank you.
