Package: xterm Version: 3.3.2.3a-7 Severity: wishlist Please ignore this bug report for a few weeks - you have many more important things to do. :-) I was looking at /usr/doc/xterm/, and at how big the changelog and copyright files are, and thinking about how slipping up xbase is going to result in lots more duplication of those files, when it hit me: xterm and many other packages from the xfree86 source all have the same changelog and copyright, and they all depend on xlib6g. Since they depend on it, it's legal to make their changelog.Debian and copyright files be symlinks to its files. It'd be nice if you can do this at some point, to save a few K on everyone's system. As I said, very low priority. -- System Information Debian Release: slink Kernel Version: Linux kite 2.1.125 #1 SMP Tue Oct 20 00:23:28 PDT 1998 i586 unknown Versions of the packages xterm depends on: ii ncurses-base 4.2-2 Descriptions of common terminal types ii libc6 2.0.7u-4 The GNU C library version 2 (run-time files) ii ncurses3.4 1.9.9g-8.11 Video terminal manipulation - shared librari ii xlib6g 3.3.2.3a-7 shared libraries required by X clients
