Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.0.12
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

upgrading to xorg-xserver version 7.0.12 broke my system. GDM complains
because it cannot find xserver executable:

GDM: Xserver not found: /usr/X11R6/bin/X ...
ERROR: Command cannot be executed

A soft link workaround this but in Xorg log i get:

Fatal server error: Could not open default font 'fixed'.

TIA,
riccardo

I've taken it upon myself to upload the 7.0.13 version of xorg that's been
waiting in XSF svn, fixing the remaining bugs in the upgrade path of
/usr/X11R6/bin. This should take care of this bug for everyone still
experiencing it -- i.e., x11-common will now refuse to upgrade until
/usr/X11R6/bin is emptied.

So one way or another, this bug should be fixed by next dinstall.

Thanks,
