joboffer/request for packaging of current X.org

Hello list,

for an ongoing project we are in need of a packaged X.org server for the current
Debian stable distro.

We specifically need the feature of the current i810 driver contained in the
X.org CVS server as committed by Alan Hourihane on 2005-01-24 [1]. These changes
have been imported into the Debian X.org tree by D.Nusinow in March [2]. Some of
the more recent fixes in the i810 driver have not yet made it to Debian's trunk
yet.

We are looking for someone to package the current X.org/Debian server for
stable. Is that a realistic idea? Is there anybody out here who'd be willing to
do the work?

* ideally the changes would be fed back to the main Debian trunk: will the
current X maintainers accept these if done properly?
* the job is paid
* it can be done off-site, however testing on real hardware will need to be
  coordinated with us
* the job needs to be done and terminated within max. 2 months
* any other specifics, and a more detailled requirements list will need to be
  arranged with us

Thanks,
*t
