Bug#355125: This happened again today
This happened again today, but this time I was browsing a web page in Konqueror.
The crash report is slightly different this time, and I'm now running
xserver-xorg 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6.

At this point, restarting X (over ssh) does not work. The screen is
cleared of the garbage left behind when X crashed, but it stays black,
and there's still no response at the local keyboard.
The only solution I've found is to reboot the machine.
