I have a comment which is not relevant to the bug report, but maybe is
useful to the submitter.  Are you (sbrizio@fastwebnet.it) aware that
there exist unofficial Debian packages of ROOT?  (And hopefully they
will become official within a few months.)  So there is no need to
compile ROOT from source, unless you really want to.
