Where is that documented (both the existence of the flag and that it is
not for benchmarking)?
$ man glxgears
No manual entry for glxgears
$ glxgears -h
Warrning: unknown parameter: -h
$ glxgears --help
Warrning: unknown parameter: --help
$ ls /usr/share/doc/mesa-utils
changelog.Debian.gz copyright
glxgears might not be a good benchmark but it is certainly a quite
useful tool for quickly checking if a machine has 3D acceleration
enabled or not.
