Bug#360186: ATI TV out, xv video strechted

Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4

I'm having problems with tv-out.Debian Linux(etch),xorg 6.9.0.ATI driver
version 8.23.7
If I select PAL (or PAL-M) on the Bios TVOUT setting, when I play a video
with xine, mplayer,or any other xv accelerated video player, the video is
displayed strechted,as if it had double its normal height, but thru a
normal viewport, thus only showing half of it.
If I select SCART_RGB, the video is played correctly but my tv shows
everything in black and white.have tried both svideo and RCA tvout.
If in PAL mode i turn off XV accelaration in xorg.conf, the video plays
with correct height, but with many frames dropped. (have tried many
resolutions and color depths)
Any ideas? (system is an asus pundit with integrated Radeon 9100 IGP).
