Was originally a sarge install-report:
Bug#240721: localisation set during install is not active afterwards

Just a thought, maybe the "xdebconfiguratior" script-package is already
capable to set up X according to the locale? I did just a basic -core install
of X.

Ok, the man page suggests xdebconfigurator might be capable to take the
locales into account when setting up the X keyboard.

The version that is in sarge did not seem to set the keyboard model for german
systems to pc105, and the Variant to nodeadkeys though. It left both debconf
settings empty, dexconf complained about it.

Kind Regards,
Christian
