Bug#355843: Other test

I've conducted some other test on my computer obtaining this results:

driver ati, DRI enabled => Freeze
driver ati, DRI disabled => Freeze
driver vesa => system it's stable

But there's something to say about vesa. The very first time I've tested them, I've changed the option in xorg.conf and restarted only X, not the entire system so the kernel module "radeon", previously loaded by the ati driver with DRI, still loaded, and the system freezed after few minute. After the reboot the was stable.

Another observation: When the system freeze I could hear the system fan starting, but the cpu, before the freeze was at 600Mhz and I suppose that the powernowd freezed at the same time. Also on heavy load and on warm day, with cpu at 600Mhz the fan doesn't start. So I suppose the fan start because the GPU was on heavy load. I'm not totally sure about this, but I'm pretty confident.

I hope this info will help you in debugging this problem.
During the week-end I'll try to attach the debugger to X.org in order to feed with better observation.
