Bug#308739: More info from XFree86.0.log.old after rebooting

(II) RADEON(0): Direct rendering enabled
Above last RADEON message before crash on VT switching.

(WW) RADEON(0): zero MEMSIZE, probably at D3cold. Re-POSTing via int10.
(II) RADEON(0): Primary V_BIOS segment is: 0xc000
(WW) RADEON(0): [RESUME] Cannot re-init Radeon hardware, DRM too old
(EE) RADEON(0): RADEONCPGetBuffer: CP GetBuffer -1002
(EE) RADEON(0): GetBuffer timed out, resetting engine...
(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine...
(EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine...

Many more "Idle ..." lines. I could also see disk churning for the
"resetting engine" business after the crash.

Not much info on "DRM too old" can be found. Is this happening because
dri was upgraded, and I am still using kernel 2.4.25 drm? (It's a custom
kernel that I am putting off rebuilding.) If so, this breaks the
kernel-version-neutrality of the distribution.

I just disabled dri, and VT switching no longer crashes. As for the
xscreensaver, I'll have to wait and see.
