It was extracted form xlibs-data_4.3.0.dfsg.1-6_all.deb. You may test it by editing /etc/gtk/gtkrc.utf-8: style "default-text" { fontset = "-sony-fixed-medium-r-normal--16-150-75-75-c-80-iso8859-1,\-gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--16-160-75-75-c-80-iso10646-1"
} class "GtkWidget" style "default-text"And run (please ensure that you have generated ja_JP.UTF-8 locale and installed "unifont" package.)
LC_ALL=ja_JP.UTF-8 xmms If the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale/ja_JP.UTF-8/XLC_LOCALE were not correct, You may see the menus in xmms are all illegible codes.
