Thanks for the tip. It works perfectly well.

For the record (and all googlers over there), here's the Xserver setup
I use:

$ cat /etc/kde3/kdm/Xservers

:0 local@tty1 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp :0
:1 local@tty2 /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp -xf86config /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.mono :1
