I didn't only provide details but also pointed out Option
"OverlayOnCRTC2" as a workaround. With recent versions of the driver,
it's even possible to switch at runtime using the XV_SWITCHCRT Xv
attribute, but I must admit I've lost track whether this is available in
the official xserver-xfree86 yet.

Be that as it may, there's no bug in libxv1 here. Strictly speaking, the
fact that the radeon driver assigns the video overlay to CRTC1 even if
only CRTC2 is active could be considered a bug there. That would have to
be taken up with upstream though.
