Nope. I don't ever remember configuring it one way or another but since 
I know the standard /dev system and have just sketchy knowledge of 
devfs I would suspect that I would have stayed with /dev if faced with 
the choice in the past.

It links to input/mice with maj/min #s of 13,63.
