Bug#330968: It could be a more general problem

I'm not sure of it is the same bug, but I've suddenly started
experiencing same problem since yesterday, with xorg crashing by
segfault (signal 11) when either mplayer or xine tries to output a video
stream using xv library. No problem arises when using x11 output (other
than its inherent slowness, of course).

I'm using xorg 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 and related packets from official sid;
xorg uses radeon driver over an ATI Radeon IGP 320M card (aka Mobility
U1). DRI and 3-d acceleration are disabled.

I'll gladly provide any further information you may find useful.
