Hello, David.

Yes, it is. In subject i am wrote "xterm + screen = lost characters in 
output". Without screen there is no character lost. And screen works 
perfectly in linux console. Problem with combination of screen and xterm.

I am use apt-get dist-upgrade about a week ago, there is no problem 
before. xterm and screen settings is same.
