I have also experienced this problem on both my desktop and my laptop after migrating to X.org. The problem also occurs in programs like xfontsel as well as emacs. KDE apps and gtk2 apps do not seem to be affected. I can post my xorg.conf file, or any other information, if desired. Thanks, Benj Carson
