Two things here Thomas. Sorry, I didn't get the original email, well I did
but radix was blacklisted. 

Second: No the problem is still there - 8 colours vs 16, troubles with alt-. .
I keep going back to xterm-4.1.0-16woody4

This on both debian 1386 and debianppc.

The functionality can't have disappeared from your code.  The problem lies
perhaps in the particular set of features compiled in by the debiam
maintainer.  I should just compile my own, as I did for a while before utf
was standard and talk to the debian maintainer.
