Package: xscreensaver
Version: 4.16-1
Severity: important
I have a feeling that this bug relates primarily to the xlibs. I noticed
it when I upgraded to the 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 version. However, the bug only
shows itself in programs that attempt to lock the screen. They make some
X call that leaves something that looks like the old "X" cursor in the
middle of the screen.
The image reminds me of the old default X cursor. It appears when
starting xscreensaver (and also xlock) and stays there until the X server
is restarted.

Workaround known. Not a bug in xscreensaver, thus closed.
