This is a followup for :

You reported issue while upgrading from woody to sarge. 
The X server was segfaulting with the nv driver. 

Does the segfault still happens with latest xfree packages ?


Your XF86Config-4 extracts had those lines:
Section "Module"

# Commented out because of nvidia driver
# Load	"GLcore"
# Load	"dri"

# Commented out, but needed by nvidia driver
# Load	"glx"


does the problem remains if they are uncommented while using the
nv driver ?
