I just did a new sarge install yesterday and I'm getting this annoying email as well. This system has xutils 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4. On another sarge system I have, I can see that the missing file is part of xbase-clients, but installing xutils does not depend on xbase-clients. Maybe atobm should be in xbase-clients along with bitmap and bmtoa instead of in xutils? I'm sure there's a reason it's needed in xutils that I'm not aware of. If that's the case, then maybe xutils should depend on xbase-clients, or at least this man page should be handled differently. I'm promoting a switch from RedHat to Debian at work, and a nightly annoying email about a broken symlink from a newly-installed system is egg on my face! Omitting xbase-clients was an oversight on my part; I am going to install it on that machine anyway. Still, the package dependencies should have kept me from getting into this broken reference state. good times, Vineet -- http://www.doorstop.net/
