Thanks for your quick response. Much to my surprise, I must
say that everything works again. In fact, I tested out the
steps described in my previous mail, filed the bugreport
addendum and shut down my computer. The next day, after a
cold reboot, I had a working AltGr key upon starting X.
To this point I have no idea what I was doing wrong the
night before with all my tinkering around (I did not log
off and back on again, but instead used startx to start X
and killed the X server).
But anyway, thanks for your help!
