No, this error is not the root of the problem (I already sent an
explanation, see this bug log), it only states that Meta_L has been
redefined. That said, having this error reported in XFree86.0.log
instead of /var/log/*dm.log would be very helpful.

Strange, I cannot reproduce this problem. Is it also related to (X)emacs
(and thus a cnsequence of the original bug) or do you also have trouble
in an xterm?
