Bug#235981: xfree86: it's hit me as well

I have linda (and lintian as well) to check my packages. Linda in turn
depends on dash, which if installed, can't cope with the original bug,
gives a lot of:
/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci/preinst: 628: Syntax error: end of file unexpected
(expecting ")")
dpkg: error processing xutils_4.3.0-3_i386.deb (--install):
 subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2
/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci/postrm: 621: Syntax error: end of file unexpected
(expecting ")")
dpkg: error while cleaning up:
 subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
xutils_4.3.0-3_i386.deb

on all of the XFree86 packages. As the fix is easy, please just do it.
