Bug#230558: Green Screen

I have seen this behavior from one of my systems, and one "spooky" 
coincidince is the Trident video chipset.

From my lspci:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Trident Microsystems CyberBlade/i1 
(rev 6a)

I'm running XFree86 4.3.0 on a RedHat 9 system (Kernel 2.4.24 from 
kernel.org).  Even though it's not a Debian system, the screen-shot 
looked so familiar.  And it's always green.  I thought the issue may not 
be distro-specific.
