Bug#233933: X server 4.3 stalls for a few seconds when switching from console back to X

I don't believe that's true.  I think GPM does document this.

Ccing GPM maintainer so he can verify or refute my statement.

That's a valid wishlist request.

Reopening this bug is inappropriate.  The malfunction reported *was* due
to misconfiguration.  Please don't confuse the issues.

Up to 2 new bugs should be filed instead:
1) If GPM's documentation is insufficient, it should be improved.
2) XFree86's debconfage can be enhanced as described above.

Please do not reopen this bug.
