Bug#233743: xlibmesa-gl: Direct rendering won't work: xdriinfo reports "libGL is too old."

Package: xlibmesa-gl
Version: 4.3.0-2
Severity: normal
Tags: experimental

Dear X maintainers,

glxinfo will report that direct rendering is not available
(LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo gives "libGL error:
XF86DRIQueryDirectRenderingCapable returned false")
although the X server reports that direct rendering is enabled
(and Mode 0666 in Section "DRI).
xdriinfo reports "libGL is too old."
This is actually on two machines with different hardware (mga; radeon)
on which direct rendering worked nicely with 4.3.0-prexx.

Perhaps that is because libGL is 1.2 but everything else is 1.3?

Thanks and best regards,
Bernd
