I'm running 2.6.0 on a Thinkpad T23 laptop, model 2647-5RU > (with the 1400x1050 panel). This seems like something I've experienced with the Savage driver availible in the backport for Woody availible from www.backports.org. Although I was able to run at 1024x767, it would cause a headache if you were to work with the laptop for some time. The XFree Packages that were availible from (some time ago) deb http://people.debian.org/~frankie/debian woody/x421/ did not have this problem. when I looked closer in the log file there were some differences. I think the old backport (with a nice flockerfree screen) had version 1.1.23 ore something, and the version from www.backports.org had version 1.1.26. I was in the process of compiling 4.3.0 for woody to see if the driver had gotten any better, but it did not compile on first try :) Any pointers on how to get 4.3.0 to compile for woody ? -- Finn-Arne Johansen faj@bzz.no http://bzz.no/?page=finnarne Registered Linux user #86307 (http://counter.li.org)
