Bug#226334: xfree86-common: /usr/X11R6/bin permission problems

Package: xfree86-common
Version: 4.2.1-15
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

I believe this problem has occurred since I first installed unstable
from testing in the early part of Decemeber.

I could not run KDE because I could not start the DCOPServer due to
missing .config files because iceauth could not be run.

After doing a bit of digging, i found that /usr/bin/X11/ is symlinked to
/usr/X11R6/bin which has permissions of root.root with 700. Making any
user not running KDM [which would start iceauth/DCOP/et al as root]
unable to access KDE Applications because non-root users has no rights
to the X11R6/bin directory.

Setting the /usr/X11R6/bin/ permissions to 755 fixes this issue.

I have found that this seems to only affect KDE applications, but since
it's with the X11 binaries, I thought the bug should be placed with
xfree86-common.

Thx
