Bug#285782: xdm fails to login due to error in Xstartup

Justification: renders package unusable


The last version of xdm tries to "clean-up" Xstartup, but messes up the
xsessreg  invocation by removing a \  continuation at the end of the
line.  As a result, Xstartup dies and noone can log on. bad.
