Package: xlibs
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8
Severity: normal
Very recently I noticed this message in my /var/log/XFree86.0.log. Not
sure if it is since the very latest update in Sarge, but it's not much
older.
My keyboard configuration in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 is:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "keyboard"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbLayout" "us"
EndSection
If I look in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/compiled/, the directory is empty.
If I manually create the missing file, using 'sudo xkbcomp :0 -xkm', the
file is created. But if I log out and restart kdm, the file will be deleted
and the same message appears in the log again.
I've attached the full log.
