Bug#273571: xserver-xfree86: Widescreen modes patch

The list of modes seems a little excessive to me. At least with the
radeon driver, as long as the monitor information is correct, you merely
have to specify the resolutions you want to use in the Display
subsection Modes line, and the driver will calculate the mode timings on
the fly. It would be good to have the native modes of popular panels for
other drivers though.

I have an nvidia card and am using their driver via the debian package for it, and it does not auto-calculate in that manner.

I'll grant you that the list is rather big. But I was not really certain where to draw the line on what to include or not include. For what it's worth, the only modes from there that I have in my Modes line are "1680x1050" "1280x800" "1024x640" "800x500" "640x400".

Pruning would not be a bad idea if you know what the popular resolutions are. Probably along the lines of what I have in mine, although I wouldn't be shocked if some come with funny native sizes.
