The simple fact is, I have asked for modelines in the past and not gotten them. For instance, I asked for modelines for the 17" Apple PowerBook on debian-powerpc, and was answered with stony silence. Certainly. I care about X. I will try to have a patch ready by the end of the week. I can only test the 16:10 modes properly, but I suspect that people would like 16:9 ones as well. Would it be considered acceptable to include them anyway? I can at least verify that most of them run on my monitor, albeit in a rather deformed manner.
