To try it, download nv_drv.o and as root:
cp /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv.o /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv_backup.o 
cp nv_drv.o /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/
Then log out of X and restart it. If you are running gdm, restart with ctrl-alt-backspace. 

Let me know if it works for you.
I tried the driver mentioned above with the instruction and found that it did not work. :( 
Still  a blank gray screen.
I am sending the additional info at the end of email.
