Bug#265829: xdm doesn't start at boot, but runs ok with /etc/init.d/xdm

Well, memory management appears to be the culprit.

Can you please follow-up with a list of kernel modules loaded when:

1) The X server fails to start with the above error message; and
2) The X server starts successfully.
