Yep, that is indeed the problem, i wonder if the correct thing would not
be for the 2.6 kernels to probe the debconf database of XFree86, modify
this value, and regenerate the database, or if the XF86Config file is
handled by hand, inform the user about this modification.

Currently happening on powerpc 2.6, breaks if /dev/psaux is corepointer.

A huge XFree86 Change probably, i don't know that code so well, so am
CCing debian-x for advice.
