I cannot, but that may have something to do with the fact that when I
start xfontsel, "monospaced" is not a choice under the sWdth menu.

Instead, I have:

*
(nil)
normal
semicondensed

You probably have different fonts installed that I do.

Can you please mail this bug report the output of the following
commands?:

1) grep FontPath /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
2) dpkg -S /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts
