Bug#216933: Same problem, similar hardware.

I've got a P2120:

(II) Primary Device is: PCI 00:14:0
(II) ATI: Candidate "Device" section "Radeon Mobility M6".

Brand new as of may last year.

I started seeing this problem some time fairly soon after getting
it, when I tried out the experimental 4.3 packages - I switched to
an X cvs tree and tracked that until recently, up to 4.3.99.12 or
so, after seeing this problem first with the 4.3 packages.

I've seen these errors repeatedly, with much the same symptoms. I've
found the problem persisting sometimes over a reboot, and the only
thing that's been fairly consistent in fixing the problem is
reinstalling X. I checked a full list of md5sums for everything in
my X install tree when it was working and when it failed, and there
were no differences, so it definitely isn't something changing on
the disk.

I'm currently using the X packages from Sid on a mainly testing box,
and I'm still seeing problems. Reinstalling (as in, apt-get
--reinstall install) all the packages xlibs depends on seems to fix
it.

Much though I'd prefer it to be something else, it does look like it
might be a problem with the TMTA cpus . . .
