Oh, ähm, I do not know why reportbug didn't report the version. It is
version 4.3.0-5

audacity and vmware ARE linked against libgtk1.2 (dynamicly)

Very easy (well not so..) The applications worked remotely from other X
and also they worked with the X version 4.3.0-0ds4 installed (Which was
the version I used bevor).
