Bug#238100: XVideo workaround for SDL apps

FWIW, I found a workaround for the problem I reported, working for applications using the SDL library (this includes both mjpeg tools and VLC, can't say for other video apps).

From the SDL FAQ on their website (www.libsdl.org) :

Q:	How do I disable XFree86 XVideo acceleration?
A: You can disable all YUV hardware acceleration by setting the environment variable SDL_VIDEO_YUV_HWACCEL to "0".

This works for me.

Notes to Branden Robinson :

1) First and foremost, thank you for your maintainance of the humongous XFree set of packages. I am perfectly aware of the amount of work it entails, and I do *not* criticize it ! Far from it ...

2) The above workaround might help to pinpoint the problem. Since you have marked the bug "upstream", I presume you have submitted it. Could you pass the info along ?

3) I didn't report libxv1 as broken in 4.3.0-5 ; I reported it broken *for* *me*, *and* saw that users of other cards submitted similar reports. I agree with you that it might be problems in individual card drivers ; however, it might also be caused by a new assumption of the libxv1 about a function which happens to more or less well supported by various cards drivers.
