Bug#235241: With Intel 845G using i810: After upgrade 4.2.1-->4.3.0, CTRL-ALT-F1 stopped switching to VT1. Does nothing.

Still, the problem is most likely keymap related. The KDE keymap
configuration may screw things up, or some keymap related application or
applet.

Also, is your xlibs package up to date?

ctrl-alt-del isn't special for the X server, ctrl-alt-backspace is.
