A well-meaning but under-informed person sent the following message to 226296-quiet last month, so neither of us saw it: I found the thread for bug#226296 reguarding XFree86 with the savage driver on a 2.6 kernel. I'm in the process of converting my t23 from a 2.4 kernel to a 2.6 kernel (I run RedHat 9 .... sorry ;-) but I'm having the same issue. When running under 2.4 everything works fine, when running the 2.6 kernel I experience the issue described in the thread. This makes me think it is an issue with the 2.6 kernel, any insight? I'm running the lates redhat 9 XFree86 (4.3.0-2.90.43). Did you perhaps also upgrade your kernel when you gave the experimental X packages a whirl? Do you think you could try to reproduce this bug while running a 2.4 kernel? -- G.
