xserver-xfree86-dbg_4.3.0-pre1v5_i386: signal 11 with intel 865G
Hi Debian folks,
I have an IBM ThinkCentre desktop with the Intel 865G graphics chipset,
and from the XFree86 site (http://www.xfree86.org/~dawes/845driver.html) I
gather that this is only supported by XFree version 4.3.0 or later. So, I
downloaded the above .deb file from the experimental distribution.
I'm using debian/testing (woody) otherwise, and have xserver-common
4.2.1-12.1. I am using a 2.4.24 kernel, compiled with CONFIG_AGP_INTEL
and CONFIG_AGP_I810. In the XF86Config-4 file, as produced by dexconf, I
use Driver "i810" as suggested above. The display is a T860 18" LCD (VGA
connection), and I've specified a vertical refresh of 60Hz and a horiz.
sync of 63.98kHz for 1280x1024 24-bit resolution, as per manufacter's
recommendation.
When I run 'startx', it gives me "Fatal server error: Caught signal 11".
I looked in /var/log/XFree86.0.log, but I'm not sure what to look for; I
didn't see any error messages until the crash. It seems to successfully
detect the graphics card, etcetera; I've attached the last portion of the
log to this message.
Thanks in advance for any pointers; apologies if I'm doing something
stupid, as I'm anything but an expert in X configuration. Let me know if
there's more information I can provide.

PS. I also tried the woody backport of
xserver-xfree86_4.3.0-pre1v5.woody.1 from
people.debian.org/~nobse/xfree86/ but got the same error.
