I just committed a patch which is supposed to fix #215831 (bad CPU detection in Mesa), but as I develop on PowerPC, the most I have been able to confirm is that the patch applies cleanly; non-x86 builds do not traverse into the source directory that was modified. If someone could at least verify that r951 does not FTBFS on i386, I would be most appreciative. $ apt-get -t experimental source xfree86 $ rm -r xfree86-4.3.0/debian $ cd xfree86-4.3.0 $ svn export -r 951 svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xfree86/branches/4.3.0/sid/debian $ debuild -us -uc Confirmation that the bug is actually fixed by this patch would be good too, but is not as critical as avoidance of a FTBFS. Few people will be in a position to confirm that the new CPU detection code works for every variety of x86-compatible processor since the Pentium MMX anyway. Thank you! -- G.
