Bug#207638: xserver-common 4.2.1-10 won't install sanely on clean system

When installing xserver first time on fresh system I get following error 
message:

Setting up xserver-common (4.2.1-10) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/xserver-common.postinst: line 263: 
/var/lib/xfree86/Xwrapper.config.roster: No such file or directory
dpkg:error poocessing xserver-common (--configure): subprocess 
post-installation script returned error exit status 1

everything else X related has installed fine but xserver-common (failed 
config) and xserver-xfree86 (not configured)

If I remember right xserver-common (4.2.1-9) installed fine this way

System information:

Debian GNU/Linux Sid with kernel 2.4.20-bf2.4 i686
