Can you tell me a little more about your hardware and setup? I'd like
to know the following if possible:

* make and model of motherboard
* make and model of keyboard
* bus type of keyboard (PS/2 vs. USB)
* whether a PS/2 to USB converter is used with the keyboard
* the output of lsmod before the unsuccessful first launch of the X server
* the output of lsmod after the unsuccessful first launch of the X server
  (but before restarting it)

Please send your followup to <214868@bugs.debian.org>.
