yes, in a tutorial, surely there already, but also a pointer to
something is needed on manpages, as us basic users will recall that we
once saw a 'startx' man page, and start from there when looking for
how to 'stop x'.

http://www.useit.com/alertbox/ often shows what is happening in the
minds of us basic users.

anyway, "can't find the off switch during an emergency" is sort of the feeling...
