Maybe, but not because of that.

1) LaMont is clueful;
2) He talked to me about in IRC beforehand;
3) RoadRunner was busily sodomizing my home box's net connection today
   so I couldn't deal with the problem very efficiently:
4) I was pretty busy at work anyway;
5) The bug he fixed was caused solely by my own boneheaded actions,
   which my testing failed to uncover. (My iBook is my testbed for the
   trunk [the B&W G3 tests branches/4.3.0/sid], and I had manually
   removed the obnoxious symlink when Brendan O'Dea brought to my
   attention the bug my busted fix was designed to rectify.)

LaMont did all the right things. What I oppose are NMUs that aren't
necessary, or which aren't run by me first if I'm reachable.

Well, all the right things but one. :) He didn't mail me a proper NMU
diff. (That's okay, I have your .changes file and the patch itself, and
that will suffice.)

Thanks, LaMont!
