This is not a useful bug report.
Please install the "reportbug" package and use that command to file bugs
in the future. A description of the problem would be appreciated, but
using the subject line is not sufficient. In any event, I use xdm
myself and user logins work just fine. It's possible or even likely
that there is something wrong with your user's X session setup.
I suggest asking for help on the debian-user mailing list.
